"Untitled"

It didn't help any that my parents were split up when I was younger. To tell you the truth I thought they were happy, but I guess my mad 'scientist father' had no time to spend with my Mother. She has such a free spirit, and being kept' in a house all day with a young kid wasn't letting her live the life that she wanted. Mother was younger then Father by more then a few years. She got a job as a journalist and left when her and Father got divorced. After that, I hardly saw either of my parents. I had to practically raise myself. My only companionship coming from the books I read. I guess I can see why I'm slowly drifting apart from the others, my only friends.

Ever since the fight with Talpa ended I felt like having friends was, well, strange. They interfered with my routine and with my solitude. I can't help being bugged by them now. I guess I can maybe some how get use to their presence, but then again I always did love loneliness.

Sai only glanced at Kento for a second then back to the magazine he had been reading.

"Is it done yet dude?" Kento wined " I'm dying of starvation here!"

"Now Kento I said I would tell you when it's done"

"Well?" Sai put down his magazine and looked at Kento once more. He is slightly shorter then Sai and built like a brick. His broad shoulders and heavily muscular form occasionally gives the illusion that he is fat, which he is far from. His features are remote but still handsome, with a large range of emotions that can transmit almost anything without speaking a word. His hair cut is essentially like Sai's, but his dark blue locks make him seem like a street punk. Sai for his part is a year older then Kento, but his skinny frame, fragile bone structure and wide sea-green eyes make him appear to be both younger and more vulnerable.

"No Kento it isn't done, give it a few more minutes" Kento frowned at this and plopped himself down on the large sofa in front of the big Television.

*This sucks here I am starving to death while Sai just sites there letting my poor dinner burn to death. If it's burnt Sai is going to have hell to pay.* He grabbed the remote for the T.V and started flipping through channels not actually watching anything that he flipped past.

A few minutes later....

"Dinners ready everyone." Sai yelled at the top of his lungs.

Naturally Kento was the first to get to the table and fill his plate.

"Now Kento wait for everyone else" Kento looked up from his plate, his mouth full of food. "Don't even try to reason with me while your mouth is full Kento" Kento swallowed.

"But Sai!"

"Oh don't but Sai me just wait for the others." he interrupted. Kento knew when he was beat. And since he didn't like to argue with his best friend he waited.

And waited.

And waited

"Sai I don't think there coming."

"Then I'll go get them." As Sai got up from the table, he shot Kento a warning glance. " I don't want you eating anything till I get back okay Kento?" Kento sort of gave a low growl but managed to shake his head yes.

'This sucks! Not only am I stuck sitting here tortured by the smell of this delicious meal but, now I'm expected to just sit here and wait not eating any of it! Maybe Sai wouldn't notice if I just take maybe a few bites...'

Rowen sat up from his current position. 'They're my only friends! But they never understand or respect my wanting to read so much! Oh who am I kidding, they probably wouldn't be my friends if I had never received the crystal. It must have been pure luck that I received it. Most of the time though I feel lonely. . . .'

A knock on the door shook Rowen from his thoughts.

"Rowen it's dinner time are you going to come or what?" Sai's smooth British accent was soft as he spoke from the other side of the door..

"I'll be down Sai in a moment" Rowen answered coldly as he sat up and stretched a bit. 'Its dinnertime already? How long have I been up he'a.' Slowly he arose from his sitting position and made his way to the door of his room.

"mmmm Dinner sure tasted great!" Kento said with delight. Then the thought occurred to him. 'Wait a min. uhhh ohh I just ate the dinner all of it, darn Sai why does your cooking have to taste so good. If I don't come up with a plan soon Sai is going to be pissed.'

The dinner that Sai had prepared was gone. All of it, all the dishes and trays were empty. Sai had only been gone 5 minutes and that dinner took an hour or so to make. Kento was screwed, royally screwed and he didn't have very long to think of a reasonable excuse. 'I got it! White Blaze did it...wait he's not in the room. . . . but he could have left right after he ate everything. Yeah that's a brilliant idea! hmm I bet Rowen would never come up with such an intellectual excuse!' Kento was overflowed with pride as he ran through his plan in his head.

Within a few moments Sai returned to the kitchen and the remnant of his great meal. "KENTO! I thought I had told you NOT to eat anything." He said with a little disapointment and anger in his voice.

"Well ya see, Sai buddy, it wasn't me" Kento said with the insistent look on his face, that usually worked so well for him. Not this time of course, Sai knew when he was being lied to the moment the phrase 'Sai buddy' escaped from Kento's mouth. Sai wasn't going to bust him so soon though.

"Ohh then who was it, your invisible friend?" Sai asked a little sarcastically. Knowing that Kento was about to blame it on someone else.

"Nope, it was Blaze" Kento said has confidently has he could make himself sound. "I saw him jump on the table and eat everything then run off to some place." Kento was more then proud about his split second story.

"Oh it was? Then Kento dear why didn't you try to stop him?" Again Sai asked with false interest and a touch of sarcasm.

"Well, uhh you know how big and mean he is! Have you ever tried to stop a tiger from eating? He sounds like a motor trying to start or something, I didn't want to go near him!" 'Man, this is getting harder then he though. Why won't Sai just believed me and ordered pizza?'

Now Sai knew all to well that White Blaze wasn't allowed in the dining room, plus if he HAD been on the table it most certainly would have been broken in half. Time to go in for the kill.

"Well yes Kento we all do know how large White Blaze is. I'm more then sure that he is big enough to have broken the table in half if he stood on it." This was it, Kento had to confess now.

"Did I say he jumped on it? Well that's what you call an exaggeration see he uhh only leaned on the table a bit." Sai was now beyond irritated with Kento's constant lying.

"Ok Kento, I know that you ate supper since Blaze knows that he isn't allowed on the table. Besides, if he had done it, which he didn't, Ryo would have seen it since Ryo has been outside playing with him the past hour." Sai said with the you-better-not-lie-again tone.
